Basically,at the beginning level many of us just use a normal OS that is 32 bit as we are unaware of which is best suitable to handle your requirements and features that makes our home or workstation easy.In other way,we can say that, it is the tendency of a computer’s processor to deal with information on RAM(random access memory) depends upon 32 bit and 64 bit version of Windows.64 bit version can handle more RAM and apps than 32 bit.32-bit hardware and software are referred as x86 or x86-32 and 64-bit hardware and software is are referred as x64 or x86-64.

Let’s make it clear to understand  in a simple way. 64 bit version can deal with physical memory(RAM) above 4GB and up to 128GB (now it is available) where as 32-bit version can address RAM up to 4GB only. Therefore, if you have a 32 bit version of Windows installed on your computer then installing RAM above 4GB doesn’t make sense at all.It is only the ability to handle  large memory which makes the 64 bit version more efficient while dealing with processes,multitasking gets way better in this.As it helps in increasing the overall performance of your PC.
